The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on track to form its government in Assam for the third consecutive term, achieving what is being referred to as its most remarkable electoral performance yet. With results indicating that the party is set to secure 82 of the 126 available seats, the BJP’s coalition partners, the Bodoland Peoples Front and the Asom Gana Parishad, are also performing well, each expected to claim 10 seats as per the Election Commission’s updates.
