US Indicts Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar in Hardeep Singh Nijjar Assassination Case

The recent indictment of notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar by US authorities has brought to light significant developments in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Khalistani separatist leader. This federal indictment, unsealed in Los Angeles, alleges that Bishnoi orchestrated the murder of Nijjar, referred to as ‘H.S.N.’ in official documents, which took place outside a gurdwara in Surrey, Canada, in June 2023.

Nijjar’s assassination, carried out by masked gunmen, triggered a diplomatic row between India and Canada. The situation escalated when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed Parliament about “credible allegations” linking Indian government agents to Nijjar’s death. These claims have been categorically denied by the Indian government, which insists on a thorough investigation into the matter.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a vocal advocate for the Khalistan movement, which seeks an independent Sikh nation, and served as the leader of the Khalistan Tiger Force, an organization designated as a terrorist outfit in India. Of these arrests, eleven occurred in California, while others were made in Indiana and Georgia.
