Cockroach Janta Party Vows Nationwide Protests Until Education Minister Resigns

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has pledged to escalate its protests across India unless Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns within a week. This announcement was made by Abhijeet Dipke, the party’s founder, following a demonstration held at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, which was aimed at holding Pradhan accountable for alleged mismanagement in the administration of competitive exams.

Dipke stated that the protests would continue indefinitely until their demands are met. He emphasized the significance of the gathering, claiming that thousands of participants had made history through their peaceful demonstration. “The protest was just a preview of what the ‘cockroaches’ can achieve when united,” he asserted in a social media post.

The rally at Jantar Mantar was a direct response to the cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate medical admissions due to accusations of a paper leak. The demonstration also highlighted ongoing grievances regarding other examinations, including irregularities in the Class 12 exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) tests for government positions.

In subsequent comments made in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district in Maharashtra, Dipke indicated that the agitation would expand beyond Delhi, with plans to mobilize supporters nationwide. He stated, “We will formulate a comprehensive action plan to amplify our protests across the country,” signaling a determination to keep the pressure on the government.

The Cockroach Janta Party, a satirical political outfit, uses humor and irony to address serious political issues, which has resonated with a segment of the Indian populace frustrated with the current education system. As the protests gain momentum, it remains to be seen how the government will respond to these calls for accountability and reform in educational practices.
