Jammu Court Orders Probe into Alleged ₹550-Crore ‘Fake Silver’ Controversy at Vaishno Devi Shrine

A Jammu court has ordered a detailed inquiry into allegations involving nearly 20 tonnes of silver offerings at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. The complaint alleges that a significant portion of the offerings may have been adulterated or substituted, with the disputed material estimated to be worth around ₹550 crore.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate directed the police to submit a comprehensive inquiry report and ordered the preservation of all physical, documentary and electronic evidence related to the case to ensure that no crucial material is destroyed or tampered with during the investigation.

The allegations are currently under investigation, and no wrongdoing has been established by the court at this stage. The matter will be taken up again after the investigating agency files its report.

जम्मू की एक अदालत ने श्री माता वैष्णो देवी मंदिर में श्रद्धालुओं द्वारा चढ़ाई गई चांदी में कथित गड़बड़ी के मामले में विस्तृत जांच रिपोर्ट तलब की है। आरोप है कि लगभग 20 टन चांदी में मिलावट या अदला-बदली हुई, जिसकी अनुमानित कीमत करीब ₹550 करोड़ बताई जा रही है।

मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट (CJM) ने पुलिस को जांच तेज करने तथा सभी भौतिक, दस्तावेजी और डिजिटल साक्ष्यों को सुरक्षित रखने का निर्देश दिया है। अदालत ने स्पष्ट किया कि जांच पूरी होने तक किसी भी महत्वपूर्ण साक्ष्य से छेड़छाड़ नहीं होनी चाहिए।

फिलहाल यह केवल आरोपों की जांच का मामला है और किसी भी पक्ष के खिलाफ अदालत ने दोष सिद्ध नहीं किया है। मामले की अगली सुनवाई में जांच रिपोर्ट पेश की जाएगी।
