A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Kota, Rajasthan. Five women who developed severe kidney complications after undergoing Caesarean deliveries have appealed to President Droupadi Murmu, saying, “Please give us a kidney each, or grant us permission to die.”
According to reports, the women underwent C-section deliveries at Kota New Medical College Hospital in May this year. Soon after the surgeries, they allegedly suffered serious kidney damage and have been dependent on regular dialysis for more than 70 days.
In their appeal, the women said they are enduring unbearable physical pain, emotional trauma, and severe financial hardship. They claim that continuing dialysis has become nearly impossible for their families, leaving them with no option but to seek urgent intervention.
The families have alleged medical negligence and the use of substandard medicines during treatment. However, the hospital administration has denied the allegations, stating that the patients are in stable condition, receiving appropriate treatment, and that kidney transplantation cannot be considered immediately under current medical protocols.
The incident has sparked nationwide concern and renewed debate over healthcare standards and patient safety. The families now await a response from the authorities to their desperate plea.
