Moitra, who represents Krishnanagar in the Lok Sabha, took to social media to share a video that purportedly shows a group of individuals gathered outside the TMC office engaging in the act of throwing eggs and shouting slogans. In the video, Moitra asserts, “This is a BJP mob that has been standing here for the past one hour. I have called the Director General of Police. The police are sitting and watching. The Central Reserve Police Force is sitting and watching.” This statement underscores her frustration with the police’s response to the alleged provocation, as she called for immediate intervention from the authorities.

Shortly after the initial video, Moitra released another clip depicting individuals carrying BJP flags, furthering her claims that these actions are not spontaneous outbursts from the public but rather organized attacks by the BJP. In her post, she stated, “These are coordinated BJP attacks. See the BJP flags,” suggesting a systematic approach to the violence directed at TMC supporters.

The TMC has been vocal about its concerns regarding escalating violence and disorder in West Bengal, asserting that the situation has deteriorated since the BJP gained ground in the state. The party accuses the BJP of fostering a climate of fear and anarchy, which they believe undermines the democratic process.
