Delhi High Court Denies Immediate Restoration of CJP X Account; Pune Tragedy Claims 13 Lives from Spurious Liquor

The Delhi High Court has decided not to immediately restore the social media account of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on platform X. The court has issued notices to both the Union government and X, indicating that the case will be reevaluated after hearing their responses. The CJP’s account was shut down on May 21, following legal requests citing “national security concerns”. In a separate but equally alarming incident, Pune district has reported the death of 13 individuals due to the consumption of illicit liquor. These fatalities occurred primarily in the areas of Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune city. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, confirmed that police have arrested eight suspects in connection with this tragic event. He emphasized that both law enforcement and the excise department are conducting thorough investigations to uncover the entire network involved in this dangerous trade.

This unfortunate incident highlights the ongoing issue of spurious liquor production and consumption in India, which has resulted in numerous tragedies over the years.
