Candlelight March Held in Kalighat Against the Baruipur Rape Case, Led by Mamata Banerjee

According to eyewitnesses, the police briefly stopped the march at its outset. However, after the situation returned to normal, the procession was allowed to continue and concluded peacefully. The protest was attended by Trinamool Congress leaders, party workers, supporters, and a large number of local residents.

बारुईपुर में हुई दुष्कर्म की घटना के विरोध में शनिवार को कालीघाट क्षेत्र में एक कैंडल मार्च आयोजित किया गया। इस मार्च का नेतृत्व पश्चिम बंगाल की for मुख्यमंत्री और तृणमूल कांग्रेस की नेता Mamata Banerjee ने किया। हाथ में मोमबत्ती लेकर उन्होंने विरोध प्रदर्शन में भाग लिया।

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, मार्च की शुरुआत में पुलिस ने कुछ समय के लिए कार्यक्रम को रोक दिया। हालांकि बाद में स्थिति सामान्य होने पर मार्च को आगे बढ़ने और शांतिपूर्वक संपन्न करने की अनुमति दे दी गई। इस विरोध मार्च में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के नेता, कार्यकर्ता, समर्थक तथा बड़ी संख्या में आम लोग शामिल हुए।

पार्टी सूत्रों का दावा है कि बारुईपुर मामले के आरोपियों को कड़ी और उदाहरणात्मक सजा दिलाने की मांग को लेकर इस कैंडल मार्च का आयोजन किया गया। मार्च के दौरान प्रदर्शनकारियों ने दोषियों को सख्त सजा देने तथा महिलाओं की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की मांग को लेकर विभिन्न नारे लगाए।translate in english
