Traveling 250 kilometers to join the protest organized by the innovative Cockroach Janta Party, Gavai expressed solidarity with his peers, emphasizing that the fight for educational justice is a shared concern among students.

The cancellation of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) due to a paper leak, followed by significant errors in the evaluation process of Class 12 board examination papers by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), have left many students feeling disillusioned. Gavai articulated this sentiment, stating, “I may be preparing for UPSC, but these are students’ issues. I am a student so I am here to join them.”
