Supreme Court Initiates Case Over Alleged Dowry Death in Madhya Pradesh

The tragic case revolves around Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old model and actress from Noida, who was discovered dead in her marital home located in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area on May 12. While her husband’s family insists that she took her own life, Twisha’s family vehemently disputes this narrative. They allege that she was subjected to ongoing domestic violence and relentless demands for dowry, leading them to suspect foul play.

Following his surrender, the Bhopal Police apprehended him, and the Bar Council of India promptly suspended him from practicing law. The legal council described the allegations against Singh as “grave,” emphasizing that they tarnish the reputation and integrity of the legal profession.
