Retail operations expert Vishal Sawakhande has introduced the PEC Retail Method, a framework aimed at improving retail performance through effective execution. Drawing on over 18 years of industry experience, Sawakhande argues that most retail businesses do not fail due to poor planning but because plans are not implemented consistently.
The PEC method is built on three pillars—Plan, Execute and Celebrate. While planning establishes sales targets, inventory needs and marketing strategies, execution ensures daily monitoring, staff accountability, product availability and customer service standards. According to Sawakhande, customers reward execution, not planning.
The third pillar, Celebrate, focuses on recognizing employee achievements and team success to boost motivation and productivity. He believes appreciation strengthens workplace culture and reduces attrition.
Sawakhande emphasizes that retail success depends on disciplined execution, stating that “the marketplace rewards implementation, not intentions.”
“The PEC Retail encourages retailers to focus on disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and employee engagement to achieve sustainable growth
So implement PEC Method in Daily Life.
