Uttar Pradesh Introduces Noida Police Cell to Address Industrial Disputes

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently articulated a vision for a rejuvenated state in a column published in the Indian Express. On the same day, a report highlighted the establishment of a new Deputy Commissioner of Police (Industries) position in Gautam Buddh Nagar, a response to recent protests by factory workers in Noida. This dedicated police cell is designed to manage industrial disputes more efficiently, with the new Deputy Commissioner being supported by an Assistant Commissioner, three inspectors, and a team of 25 other officers. This initiative underscores the administration’s recognition of the critical role that industrial workers play in the state’s economy.
