Rahul Gandhi Calls for FIR over Alleged Purification Ritual Targeting Dalits After Kharge Rally

The matter was initially raised by Kharge in the Rajya Sabha on August 13, where he called for the arrest of those responsible for the ritual. In response, Union minister JP Nadda assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not support such actions and has promised an investigation into the incident. However, the lack of immediate action has led to rising tensions and calls for accountability from opposition leaders and civil rights advocates alike.

Gandhi’s remarks highlighted the ongoing struggle against caste-based discrimination in India, asserting that the voices of Dalits are often met with resistance and violence.
