Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s US Trip Denied by Centre Due to Political Concerns

The Union government has reportedly turned down a request from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to embark on a trip to the United States. According to his office, the Ministry of External Affairs conveyed that the clearance for the visit was denied due to ‘political angle’ concerns.

Currently in the United Kingdom as part of a 10-day tour with the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation, Reddy is scheduled to return to Hyderabad on Sunday. His visit to the UK commenced on Thursday, and he was expected to proceed to Boston to finalize agreements with several educational institutions. The denial of permission for the US leg of his journey came as a surprise, given that the delegation had already reached the UK.

CM Reddy expressed his disappointment, asserting that the main purpose of his intended visit to the US was to establish connections with some of the world’s leading educational institutions.
