In a recent Instagram post, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the government’s swift action in reconducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for 2026, asserting that just days prior, the examination results had been announced. He expressed optimism, citing positive feedback from students who had successfully passed the test.

This announcement came as a response to widespread protests from students across India, who criticized the administration for the leak of the NEET paper during the initial examination scheduled in May. In a subsequent message on X, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who recently resigned, also praised the exam’s reconduct, stating it was successfully held on June 21, 2026, with the support of students, parents, and guardians.
