Former Cabinet Minister of Punjab and senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sikandar Singh Maluka shared his personal views regarding the political future of Punjab during a special conversation
Maluka said that, in his opinion, a large section of Punjab’s people are willing to see an alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiromani Akali Dal once again. He stated that such an alliance could prove highly beneficial for Punjab’s development, peace, prosperity, and overall progress.
He further mentioned that he has expressed this opinion on several party platforms as well, though he clarified that this remains his personal viewpoint. Maluka added that the ultimate and final decision regarding any alliance would be taken by the high commands of both parties.
Speaking on the political situation in Punjab, Maluka said that a Shiromani Akali Dal–BJP alliance is “the need of the hour” for the larger interest of Punjab and its people. He emphasized that this is an important time for senior leaders and the top brass of both parties to seriously consider coming together for the progress, stability, and prosperity of the state.
He further added that if such an alliance materializes, it could open new doors for Punjab’s development and strengthen the political and social fabric of the state.
