Civil Hospital Mahilpur Opens Canteen and Bicycle Stand; SMO Dr. Jaswant Singh Thind Inaugurates

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 25 Following government directives, Civil Hospital Mahilpur inaugurated a canteen and a bicycle stand under the leadership of SMO Dr. Jaswant Singh Thind. The event began with an ardas, after which the SMO cut the ribbon to formally open the facilities.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Thind said the canteen and bicycle stand were established keeping patients’ convenience in mind and in compliance with government rules. The canteen will offer tea, water, bread, biscuits and other basic refreshments to patients and their attendants at very low prices.

Parking charges have been fixed by the contractor at Rs 10 for bicycles, Rs 20 for motorcycles and Rs 30 for cars. Dr. Thind also noted that motorcycle thefts had been a concern at the hospital, with a few incidents reported, creating problems for the administration.

Those present at the opening included Surjeet Singh Khanpuri, Dr. Rajat, Dr. Ram Gopal, Dr. Mandeep Kaur Bains, Dr. Manjit Kaur, Dr. Parminder Singh, Mamta (canteen manager) and other hospital staff.
