Assistant Commissioner of Police, Naveen Sharma, confirmed that the action was taken by the crime branch following tips related to national security and law enforcement.

The detained individuals were discovered in various locations throughout Gurugram, including slum areas and construction sites, where they had been working to support themselves. Sharma noted that the operation was comprehensive, involving thorough interrogations and searches that led to the apprehension of these thirteen individuals.

According to police statements, these migrants possessed Bangladeshi identity documents and had reportedly been communicating with family members back in Bangladesh using local phone numbers.
