Supreme Court Halts Proceedings in Disproportionate Assets Case Against Rahul Gandhi

The Supreme Court of India has intervened in the legal proceedings against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding allegations of disproportionate assets. On Monday, a bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant instructed the Allahabad High Court to postpone its hearing on the matter, citing procedural concerns surrounding the case.

The controversy began when S. Vignesh Shishir, an activist belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), filed a complaint alleging that Gandhi holds assets that significantly exceed his known income.
